And so I lied

I got out for my walk & John challenged me to jog. I did a light jog/walk for 1.3 miles. My ass jiggles way too much! However, my shoulder did not hurt!

Rock on!

So I mentioned Serge...we went to the Cape to see him. He had been transported to Boston to be evaluated. He was too aggressive for the nursing home.

I told John that I was worried that he was feeling abandoned. Christine has not been up to see him since she has him admitted to the nursing home FOUR FUCKING WEEKS AGO! Okay, granted she has children & therefore other responsibilities but for Christ's sake--don't visit, don't call??? Yeah.

I asked him what he thinks of having Serge admitted to our a facility close to us. His sister only visits the Cape for 2 1/2 months out of the year, she only goes during the winter IF there is an urgent matter to attend to. If he is close to us, John can go see him during the week & Christine can come visit him when she comes down this way.

He ran it past her & she was all over it. Serge is being transferred to us in a few days. When I say us--to a facility that specializes in aggressively behaved dementia patients.

I hope we (by that I mean I) don't regret it.

((Deb)) Good luck. I think you are a wonderful person for taking this step. And it will probably be a big relief for John, so even if visiting Serge is difficult for you, it will probably be good for your family in the long run.

I think it's very good you are doing this for Serge and the rest of the family. :) Yay, you!

And yay, you! too on the biceps curls and the jog. You're on your way back to recovery and your shoulder will be so much healthier now. Woohoo! Watch out world, hehhehheh.
