two days so I'm calling it real!

I'm at 145. I've held it for 2 days. WOOT WOOT! I've got 5 more to do & then I'll make some decisions. Do I want to lose more? Put 5 lbs back on? Maintenance?

And now that I'm getting this under control I'm seriously visiting the competition idea. I want to but I don't know if we can afford it. Suits for $300+, shoes, entrance fees, tanning, new make-up...Yep it would be very expensive. Right now I know that I can't do it but if John gets a job that would change.

And speaking of John: His second interview fell through. The owner got food poisoning. They didn't give him another date. However, he has that interview with the Coast Guard on Monday & another with Government Services Administration on Tuesday. The CG job is a GS-07 & would have an hour commute. The GSA job is a GS-11 & would have a 30 minute commute. For obvious reasons (money & commute time) we want the GSA job. lol

We haven't shown the house again since the offer. Not really concerned because John is starting to get interviews. Would love to keep the house. We'll see.

I'm going to a bridal shower for my cousin today. I really don't want to go. This is her second wedding & I'm a little in disagreement with all this stuff for a second wedding. I don't mind the big wedding because it is his first but she shouldn't be doing a shower. I have another cousin (not her sister) that told me last night she wants to give the bride a picture of her X as a gift. Makes me LMAO! No one likes this girl. It's sad.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Continued prayers for a job for John.

Kudos for holding steady on the weight. That's great.

Yay on the weight and the interviews!

I know what you mean about the expenses of competition--the suit, the shoes, the posing lessons, the tanning, the waxing, the hair/nails/makeup ... it's almost as bad as if you were getting married! Sigh. Of course lots of the expenses are only a one-time thing, assuming your competition weight doesn't change drastically and you can reuse your suit. I guess that's true of weddings also, although I'm pretty sure it's considered tacky to reuse your wedding gown. You might ask your cousin if that's what she's doing. Or not :)

It doesn't have to be as expensive as you think. But it's still expensive. Back when I used Cathy they pushed the pricey stuff their favorites sold. I think you can get a pretty nice suit through Jagware or even divaexchange.com or ebay that would work.

I was just listening to Leigh Peele talk about maintenance. She said you should shoot for two to three pounds under your goal, so that when you put back on those couple water-weight pounds we all play with when we're bad, you'll actually be at your weight. I think she's smart about that.

Congrats on the weight! Got the ab shot...nice!

I watched "Say Yes to the Dress" last night for the first time. And quite possibly the last, LMAO. I was surprised some of the brides took their fiances along for their opinions on dresses. WTF? What happened to the groom not seeing the dress beforehand? One of them got wise and excused himself...decided he wanted to be surprised. But one dude didn't like the first dress his bride chose, and made her take it back and he went along to approve the second one. Again, WTF? I think all traditions and associated rules have gone out the window.
