Found my weekend gym

At least for the time being. Active Fitness has free Sunday's for the public. I'll go after church until they cut me off. Then I might join depending on the cost.

Looks good! I'm guessing they are hoping you'll like the place enough to want to keep coming once the summer is over with, otherwise I can't understand how they can afford that deal! :)

I posted before I visited. Should have visited first...Dirty bathrooms & high pressure sales. They expensive--$40/a month PLUS $200 start up fee. WTF? Nope, I won't be joining.

The sales guy kept talking about my ability to get "toned" despite my telling him not looking to get toned. He talked about the women not being intimated to work out in the weight area. I told him that I would intimidate the men. Duche bag.

We hit Bally's Total Fitness, The Firm, Retro Fitness, & NJ Health & Fitness yesterday. The Firm might be where I end up--I have to go back & check out the bathrooms (I brain farted on that). They're $27/month--offering a military discount. Bally's was okay but their free weight area was cramped. Retro had no showers. WTF?! Sadly, NJ Health & Fitness is C.L.O.S.E.D. All of the equipment is still inside but at 1000 it was dark & we could tell no one had been there for months. Hey Wendy, want to move to NJ & open a gym?

There is one more place I'm going to look at. It's about 15 minutes in the WRONG direction but it has been around for years & might be what I'm looking for.

I used to belong to Bally's in Voorhees. That was back in 1990, and I wasn't brave enough to venture out of the women's workout area, LOL.

Sorry today's visit wasn't good. ;(
