must be...

Out of cycle because I sooooo want to eat EVERYTHING in sight. I mean everything. I don’t care anymore.

That’s a total lie.

I do care but am just tired of caring. I don’t know when I’ll have time to count calories as Wendy ordered…suggested. I really am just teasing there; if she hadn’t said it I wouldn’t have taken it as anything but a suggestion.

Right now I am solely responsible (of my own accord—which I will explain further down) for our household; the cooking, the dogs, the cleaning, everything. That means that I get home from work, let the dogs out, feed the dogs, have to stay with the dogs because Roxi has decided to play Alpha female at dinner time & pushes the big bully Romeo out of his bowl (more to come on that, too), empty my gym bag, run laundry if needed, replenish my gym bag, empty my cooler, refill my cooler, (thank goddess I plan everything for the week on Sunday), empty the dishwasher if needed, run the vacuum cleaner (or dust or clean the bathroom), put the dirty dishes from my cooler in the dishwasher, cook dinner, clean up the dinner dishes (help, anyway). Plus I have the occasional stop at Target, Costco, BJs, or the produce stand on the way home from work. Then I collapse into bed so that I can get up at 4:00 AM and begin it all again. Crazy.

How are you single ladies capable of breathing?

The reason I do all of the housework is because I don’t want to spend my weekends doing all that running & cleaning. John’s insane commute makes our lives incredibly crazy. He doesn’t get home until 6:30-7:00 depending on traffic. He would & does help but I try to make it so that he doesn’t have to. He also does all the “manly” stuff—taking out the trash, trimming the trees (not my bush lol), cleaning the poop out of the yard, etc…I just want to make sure that we get to relax on the weekends.

Romeo has been a problem eater since we brought him home. Initially he would suck his food down so quickly that he would choke. I can’t tell you the number of times I had to perform the puppy Heimlich on him. We think it was a reaction from fighting to eat with 8 other puppies—survival issues. When he finally quit choking he wouldn’t eat what was put in front of him I would feed him, walk away, & so would he. He once went 3 days without eating because we had to pick his dish up because if we didn’t then Roxi would eat it & she was getting to be a chubsy ubsy. We got back into the habit of staying with him. Then we realized that part of his issues are because he was having trouble chewing. I did some research & found that some boxers have trouble with chewing because of the shape of their jaws. The vet recommended that we either feed him canned food (WAY too expensive for a dog his size) or put chicken broth on his food to soften it up…We chose the chicken broth route.

You know I couldn’t just put broth on his food & not take care of Roxi, too…He eats better but still eats really slowly. Roxi is finished long before Romeo & now she tries to push him out of the way. It’s kind of funny because he is so alpha male & she lets him walk all over her but when it comes to eating kibble with chicken broth…She’s a bitch! lol

Anyway…So I bought Tom Venuto’s Burn the Fat package last night. It came with a 6 month membership (limited access) to the Inner Circle. SOOOO glad I bought the book, so glad I didn’t pay for the Inner Circle. There are some articles that might be worth the 6 month membership fee in the long run but for now I think I’ll get a lot out of the e-books; which I’ve converted to Kindle format & have transferred for easier reading.

I’m going to get my ass back on track one way or another. I will not get back into a size 12 situation!

ETA:

I know that Tom Venuto isn't going to magically make things all better. However, what I do know that what I've been doing (weighing & measuring every meal& eating the same size portions & I have been!) isn't working anymore. I've got to change something.

And I know that I have to log everything...It's just a matter of time. I can probably do some at work but I am getting busier so it's tougher but...This is very important to me. I want this weight loss pretty badly I just have to make time to make it happen.

Your paragraph that begins, "Right now..." described my marriage to Jamey perfectly. Except he didn't do any of the man jobs either, AND he didn't have a long commute and worked way less hours than me. Which has a lot to do with why the separation/divorce was so much easier this time around, LMAO!

Can you feed the Boxers in separate rooms? Sometimes I have to lock Cisco in the bathroom with her food, because Barney's mouth is 4 times bigger and he wants her's once he's done. She can growl him off the bowl a lot of times, but if it's something he really wants, she doesn't stand a chance.

I've thought about the dog thing but I think it creates just as much effort to do that. And in the grand scheme...that part is minor. It will work out in the end.
