I did not want to get out of bed this morning. I even had John reset the alarm for me to get up at 5:30. At 4:30 I climbed out of the rack, stumbled to the kitchen & started the pot. I was dressed & out the door in 15 minutes. I went to the gym & am SOOOOO glad I did. I felt great all day.

Wendy gave me a really awesome program this month. She laid out a total of 9 days using some new stuff & some old stuff. It is a very cool program! She hit all of the areas I want to improve on & then some. I think this is exactly what the doctor ordered to get me through this final push.

Today was 2 tri-sets of 6 exercises—some new exercises (for me) thrown in with standard stuff. One of the new exercises was chest dips. Basically a reverse dip on the gravitron/assisted pull-up machine. I used 55 lbs to do 4 sets of 10. I also did overhead squats with a body bar. When I did these at Wendy’s I used a hollow pipe & felt it in my back. I tried to do them at home with my 15 lbs bar & REALLY felt it in my back. Today I started with a 9 lb bar & had NO problem so I went up to the 15 lb bar. No problem. Next time (in 9 days) I’ll go up to the heaviest body bar. If that gives me no problems I’ll go up to the short barbell; which google tells me weighs 33 lbs. I will be very careful.

After Kim left (about 10 minutes after I got there) I was the only woman in the gym. The guys are starting to accept my presence in the weight area. I even got a nod today! Wapow! Take that suckers!

The workout today had me going from one end of the gym to the other. It was awesome. I used heavy weights for everything which had my heart rate up & then scurrying across the gym kept it up. After the weight work, I jumped on the recumbent bike & did 40 minutes at level 7 tension & then did 3 sets of decline abs, Russian twists with an 8 lb ball, & planks for 30 seconds each. It only took me an hour thirty! Not too shabby for all that I accomplished.

Tomorrow I get to do Death By Wendy & 30 minutes on my home elliptical--I'm taking a 4 day weekend.

I'm curious what kind of rack you have attached to your bed. Perhaps that is not a conversation for a public blog. MWAHAHAHAHAAH

:-)

Sorry, you can return now to your regularly scheduled maturity level.
