iMapmyrun iPhone App

This is a very cool application....

We used it to run tonight. How cool is that?

My eating was 99.9% today. I have 6 (yes I really counted) yogurt covered raisins. I opened the candy jar on someone's desk today, took a big sniff, & walked away! It satisfied my craving if you can believe that.

I'll do leg workout b & the functional fun Wendy "threw together" for me tomorrow & then get my workout week back on track on Sunday. I like to try to get my weight workouts down by Thursday. This week it just didn't happen. I did hit 3 cardio workouts this week--1 interval run, 1 steady state run & the half-hearted metabolic workout last night.

I'm looking forward to the leg workout tomorrow. I'm supposed to pick up a couple HEAVY dumbbells & walk 20 paces. Without going down to look I think I have 35s & 40s. I'm going to try it with the 35s to start. I'm not sure what purpose these serve & I haven't asked but I think they will be fun so it doesn't matter what purpose they serve.

Hey look at me, I'm blogging regularly again...

Quickie! If you feel like you can go further with the farmer's walk, please do :)

You'll NEED an iPhone. I didn't think I needed one until John downloaded this app to his phone. Now...I'm thinking another $30 a month might be NECESSARY. LOL

The farmer's walk is one of my favorite functional exercises! The key to getting the most out of it is to make sure you're walking absolutely correctly, with shoulders back and down, stomach pulled in, spine perfectly aligned, arches pulled up, and weight distributed properly through the feet. It's just fantastic for posture and shoulder stabilization. Grip strength too, although that's a secondary benefit.
