Nutrition bogles my mind & my tight jeans

Thanks for the link Wendy. Knowing that butternut squash is a starch makes me question, is pumpkin a starch? I guess yes since it, too, is a type of squash. Damn. So much for my pumpkin smoothies.

This is one of the reasons I have failed at fat loss. I just don't know what I'm supposed to eat & not. I try to get ride of the training wheels & end up eating the wrong stuff. Sigh.

I wore my old size 10 boyfriend cut London jeans today. They are still tight BUT I didn't have to force them on. And I actually had a bit of room in the seat. My tush is getting smaller. I think it's a little higher now, too. Gotta take pics this weekend when I do my weigh in before starting FL2. I haven't taken pics since before starting NROL4W. There should be a big difference.

Tonight was NROL-O FL1A WO 6. Last FL1A!!!! I'm finished strong with some stretching. I'm still limited in my shoulder--getting my arm straight up over my head. It's getting better but I want to be 100% again. I will be. Some day.

John will be coming home tomorrow afternoon. My brother is coming in from Kansas City tomorrow night. I haven't seen my brother in so long that I don't even remember what he looks like...

Hmmm..JB has butternut squash in his Anytime meals, rather than Post-workout meals. And he's anti-starch unless you've worked out to earn it. I swear sometimes he just picks his favorite foods to make allowances for, LOL.

Poor baby!

Yes, pumpkin's a starch, but post your recipe and maybe we can troubleshoot. It seems to me I've seen some recipes online for smoothies made with pumpkin and vanilla protein powder that'd probably fit within your macros. Also, even though pumpkin's a starch the beta carotene content makes it a great choice.

Also, this may be a dumb question, but is your EAS Myoplex powder *just* protein (whey, casein, etc), or does it also contain maltodextrin and such? If so it's still a great thing to have on hand, but since it contains carbs as well as protein (and is higher in calories) it can't be used interchangeably with protein powder in recipes. I'm sure you already know that, but sometimes the products are confusingly labeled so it's not always obvious exactly what you're buying. I have clients who've mixed up the two, so it's easy to do.
