Step Away From the Scale!
Bwahahahaha! Did you read this, Marie? I'm taking the advice from Marie & the article (mostly Marie & probably Wendy has suggested it too). I'm having John move the scale to the garage for 30 days. Dammit!
I will eat right, exercise as prescribed, & eat what I'm told. I will measure again on Monday but won't be able to post my stats until I return. I will not weigh!
Thanks for letting me rant & cry & be a stupid head. It was so easy to take the weight off 2 years ago.
It will come off now just not as easily. I'm going to have to work for it & work for it I will.
An observation I made of myself today is that I don't really eat meals. I tend to graze. When I plan for the day I plan meals but I don't eat that way.
For example I planned:
Breakfast
1 c diced apple
3/4 c cottage cheese
1/2 c All bran
Snack
1 c yogurt
1/2 c mixed fruit (frozen no sugar)
Lunch
3 oz chicken
4 oz sweet potato
1 c broc/cauliflower steamed
Snack
3 oz chicken
1 c diced tom & jalapeno
Dinner
3 oz Tilapia
4 oz sweet potato
1 c yellow squash
Snack
Myoplex Advantage (whatever low carb) Strawberry
10 almonds
1 peach
However what ended up happening was that I ate the cottage cheese & all bran mixed together (actually pretty good by the way). I ate the apple on my way home from work. I never got around to the yogurt & fruit & ended up tossing that at home because it sat on my desk all day. I started eating chicken at about 1230 & finished it at around 3:30. I ate the vegetables & potato throughout that same time period but finished it earlier.
I don't get hungry because I always have food in my hand/mouth. Maybe. I'm going to experiment tomorrow. I'm actually going to try to eat more "meals."
I'm also trying to eat eggs for breakfast. Generally speaking I don't like plain egg whites but I think if I eat a bigger breakfast I won't get hungry so early. I don't usually eat breakfast until I'm at work--around 7:30. Then I'm hungry by 9. I think if I eat more I might make it to 10. I hope.
If that doesn't work, maybe I'll continue to graze. We'll see.
Oh--the commissary had FAGE yogurt today. I bought 1 container to see if I like it because it was almost $1 more than the organic stuff I buy & in a smaller container. I'm not so sure I'm going to like it. I tasted it tonight when I was preparing meals for tomorrow. It tastes like sour cream to me. I like that on a baked potato but would never eat it plain. I'll try it with fruit & see but...we'll see.
Tonight's workout was pretty good. I've got to try to figure out a better workout "calendar." I bonked about 15 minutes into my HIIT tonight after doing weights. I'm pretty sure it's because I was already tired from working. I think if I do weights & HIIT on Saturday, HIIT on Sunday, weights on Monday, HIIT Tuesday, weights on Wednesday, & HIIT on Thursday I'll feel better. Though I won't really know this until I get back from vacation cuz I'm planning on getting some extra work in while I'm away...some laps in the pool. Just cuz I'll have the time while I"m away.

Also, I have to tell you that your discipline is totally motivating me to get back on track. I was looking at some stuff over at Rachel Cosgrove's site and she has some stuff there that was of interest. So, thanks! And hang in there!!!
