Officially I'm down 2.5 lbs to 163. I'm both glad & disappointed. I've been here for far too long. But I know it's going to take time. At the end of the month when I go for my annual exam I'm going to ask for blood work for both thyroid & diabetes. I don't have symptoms of either one with the exception of the difficulty losing weight. So I don't expect to have either one but still I want it checked. More than it's either of these I think it's the thing I mention on Wendy's blog.
This morning I came in to the following email traffic (I don't read my email enough):

Whoop-di-doodles! I will still only get my lousey 2.5% annual pay increase this year--if the government doesn't go bankrupt between now & 1 January. No promotion. No additional time off. Nothing. Nada. Zip.
But I'll be happy with the recognition because I do a damned fine job!

Well, you may not get the outer perks, but the inner ones are nice, no? I personally think it's wonderful when you're recognized by colleagues because it does show that you DO make a difference.
Go, Deb!
Congrats on the work kudos! While a little extra $$$ would be great, a pat on the back beats a kick in the butt every day! :)
You are doing great on your plan, and please don't get hung up on the scale. Women's bodies can be amazingly stubborn when it comes to releasing the pounds. 2.5 pounds = above average results! :)
I am hung up on the scale...it's an obsession but always has been. At least for now I'm looking at it as a way to gauge that something is working until my clothes start to fit again. Knowing that I've lost 2.5 lbs is better knowledge than the fact that I can't fit my fat ass into my favorite jeans right now.
When I look at pictures that were taken last year, I can't believe how big I am today. It completely pisses me off.
BUT I'm working on it & finding ways to combat the cravings.
Did you take measurements? That's another good measure. You might start noticing differences there before you do the scale.
One of my clients went from 34 percent bodyfat to 25 percent in six weeks while losing 8 inches -- and only 4 pounds! Amazing, huh?
I did take measurements. I wanted to wait until next Monday to measure again--2 weeks from the start date of "your" plan. The reason for the wait is because I took measurements at the beginning of the NROL4W workouts & then again on the day I started "your" plan. I was bigger after 3 1/2 weeks of doing NR without "proper" eating.
I'll break out the tape tomorrow before working out...I'll let you know.
Wow, and I thought I could choke a horse with acronyms... Congratulations on the kudos!
