As I rolled over to get out of bed, I looked in the mirror & saw thunder thighs. So I brushed my teeth, emptied my bladder & I got on the scale. I'm tempted to change the title of this blog to "Patty Fat Ass." I now weigh 168 lbs. How the fuck does one gain 8 lbs in 4 days when one knows she didn't eat clean but she didn't eat like a pig?
I'm hoping some of it is bloat from traveling...I don't know what I weighed but I'm almost positive the same thing happened when I went to Hawaii last year.
However this means I HAVE to get with the program & get my diet under control. I'm going to get back into using fitday. I wish I had something that was apple compatible because I HATE HATE HATE the online program. It takes forever to enter food.
I'm also going to begin lifting weights at least 3 to 4 days a week. I won't be lifting too heavy because I do still plan to run the 1/2 marathon in September (I'm up to 3.5 miles this week). As far as my weight training goes I'm going to have to keep it to doing what I've been prescribed from my therapist. I'm having some discomfort after carrying my suitcases this week...nothing serious but enough to have gotten my attention.
San Antonio was good. I've gotten some good information to take back to work & some things I'll be thinking about changing in the way I do things.
I met some of the women I have been working with for the past 4 years. We all share the same frustrations in the job. It was good to know that I'm not alone out there.
I also found out that none of the other PEBLOs (our job title) will be going to the conference in Reno. It will be interesting to see how the doctors take into consideration what I have to say about the process we're setting policy for.
