I got brave & took to the road on my bike. I tried it down the cul de sac first. It felt great. John & I road to Home Depot, Dick's, Hallmark, & Produce Junction. John carried our booty in a backpack.
It took us almost 2 hours but saved us on gas & got me out on the bike again. It was awesome!

I am a gas guzzler. I ran errands this AM, too, but they all involved my vehicle. Unfortunately where I live you really need to have a car. There are some shops and things close, but the traffic is really unbelievable and I'd be terrified of getting mown down.
I'm glad you're feeling better, though! Be careful not to overdo it...

I guzzle gas too Marie. Both my cars are total hogs, especially my Mazda.
I don't live in reasonable walking/biking distance for errands either.
