Leg day rocks! Six hours later & my legs are still nice & toasty. I left my log in the car so I will try to remember to edit this later & add what weights I used.

I made coconut chicken from volume 1 of Gourmet Nutrition. OH.MY.GOD! It is delish! And EZ!!! I made enough to have left overs so I'll be eating it again before the weekend is over. I already prepare meals for the week on Sunday, as suggested in the book, but now I have new meals to try! Tonight I'm going to make a grocery list from some of the recipes & hit the commissary tomorrow. I'm looking forward to some num yummy foods! Bye-bye boring salads!

I finally bought some Carlson's fish oil yesterday. I've been taking 5 capsules with each meal. This wasn't as bad as it seems. The Carlson's...Let me tell you...G.R.O.S.S.!!!! I don't know how anyone can stand it. This morning I mixed it in with my yogurt, berries, & splenda. STILL G.R.O.S.S.! I will do the shot method & follow up with something to get the taste out of my mouth.

My husband & my daughter left this morning for Cape Cod. They'll be back on Sunday afternoon. I have the house to myself for the entire weekend. Just me & my pups! They are going to bring me a pint of New England clam chowdah from my favorite restaurant up there. I can't wait! That's my reward meal for the week.

If I had gone I would have been subjected to fried fish & chips, fried clam strips, & fried lobstah. And of course, steamed lobstah, too. Yummy! I am salivating just thinking about it. I'll go up in October. I'll be 15 lbs down & can have that special dinner then. Right now I need the time to adjust to a new way of thinking...MODERATION!

Man, I'm all about the all caps today, aren't I? lol


On Monday I got a new office mate.  He is a Capt that is getting out of the Air Force next month.  He has been relieved of his duties.  I don’t know why.  What I do know is that I’m going to have to take off for a few weeks if he doesn’t shut the fuck up!  He’s an annoying little boy.  This is his facebook profile.  I’ll be deleting him from my friends list.  He’s 27, has been rode hard & put away wet, & thinks he’s a fucking god.  Um, dude, hate to tell you…Not so much.  He’s leaving the air force with NO plan.  He wants to be someone’s body guard.  BAHAHAHAHA  I can’t wait for him to go.  I have to deal with him for another 2 ½ weeks. UGH!

So, did I miss something? Why fish oil instead of capsules?

My tip for anyone who has trouble taking the big moster things: try sticking them in the freezer. Easier to swallow and no "fish burps".

Rose, PN recommends the liquid instead of capsules due to the volume they want you to take to facilitate fat loss.

And I'm the odd man out, because I don't mind the Carlson's at all. However, I've found the trick is to mix your portion into a small shot of OJ and drink it that way. I assume you got the lemon version? Because the citrus actually mixes together nicely - I tried it in other things and wanted to hurl - but you DO have to mentally hold your nose until it goes down.

I don't have a problem with the pills at all. I found a great variety at the commissary & had no fish burps.

Rose, they say to take 1 mg per % of body fat. I'm estimated by calipers & measurements to be 30% so that means 5 to 6 pills per meal. Or 2 tbsp of the Carlsons.

I will go back to pills as soon as this bottle is gone. It's gross!
