I got up at 4:30 this morning & headed to the gym. It wasn’t as easy as it sound....But I got up, dragged down to feed the dogs. I got on the scale. I fell off the good plan on Friday…gained 2 ½ lbs. I’m sure some is water because I wasn’t drinking nearly enough on Friday & Saturday. Unfortunately that was just the beginning. I ate a reduced-fat blue berry muffin, a bunch of junk at the group picnic, beer (3 or 4), crabs dipped in butter, pizza, meatball sub, vodka, & wine, raisin bran with sugar added…I’m back at it today.

Interestingly enough I do not feel awful about this. I knew what the consequences could/would be & still did it. However, I’m in a really cool place right now. My body is showing serious signs of the good I have been doing & therefore I am not beating myself up about falling off the wagon. I know that if I clean it up, the scale will drop down again. My clothes fit better than they ever have & I have muscle definition that is absolutely GORGEOUS (channeling Tony Horton in P90X).

I hit my workouts really hard this weekend. The 35 lb dumbbells really left my shoulders tight. My hams are still feeling tight; which I believe to be a good thing. Yesterday’s workout was great. I didn’t get in a cardio workout but knew I was going to do functional today. Today I did April’s functional with a couple of the ladies I work with. It was a lot of fun.

Tomorrow my plan is to get to the gym for back. If I can get up at 4:00 instead of 4:30 I should be able to get the workout done & do 40 minutes of HIIT on the treadmill. If I don’t—my plan is to do weights in the AM & then go back in the afternoon for HIIT. We’ll see how it goes.

I've had some dietary deviations myself. None I care to confess in detail, LMAO!

You're doing great! :)

Even before I read that you were channeling Tony, I read it the way he would say it. : ) I wonder if that will be a consequence of doing P90X.

I had some majorly weird diet stuff go on too. It mostly involved tortilla chips. (One good thing about not tolerating gluten, you really can't fall too far.) I am also back at it today.

You are doing so great. I can't imagine waking up for anything at 4:00am.
