It was like visiting a tropical island. It was hot & it was windy. I learned a couple of things that I'm going to try to put into practice in my office.
I completed 2 workouts while I was away. On Tuesday afternoon I went to the gym to lift. I sent Marie & Wendy a text after...
I was the only girl lifting weights. When I entered the weight area I got looks that communicated that I was not welcome. I blew them off. When I picked up the 50 lb bar & started doing rows & went right from there to squats (putting the same bar up over my head onto my shoulders) I got a couple of looks of respect. By the time I was finished with my first giant set the boys were getting out of my way.
I watched, from the corner of my eye, these muscleheads toss their weights around. I wanted to smack a couple of them in the head with my 25 lb dumbbell. They really didn't have much muscle & were tossing weights around with no concern for form. I saw injuries just waiting to happen. It was sort of funny.
I let my eating get out of control for 2 1/2 days. I just threw it out the window. I did it knowing full well that I was not helping to meet my goals but also with the commitment to get right back at it today.
Romeo has an upper-respiratory infection. He is on antibiotics which have the side effect of increased urination. Goodie. I'm going to buy piddle pads this morning to see if we can prevent the carpet from getting destroyed.
Have a great weekend, ladies!

Welcome back!
And good for you for showing those meatheads a thing or two about female power! I love that :)
Poor lil' Romeo. I bet he's glad to have you home. How long is the course of antibiotics?
He'll be on antibiotics for a week total. I'm not sure he's glad I'm home. John let him sleep in the bed...That's fine for now--when he can't get off it. Once he can get down on his own I'm afraid he'll tear the house apart while we sleep. So last night he was back in his crate.
