Holy crap it's cold!
Yesterday was quite a day. I got up at my normal 5:10 & took care of business around the house. I took the car to get new shoes (that would be tires) at 7:30. I did my part in stimulating the economy--it cost $600. Then I trotted down the street to get my hair cut & highlighted. More economical stimuli. My hair is almost blonde now. Then I went to buy wine & some new Under Armor. I got a pair of running pants & a white cold-gear mock turtleneck. It's comfy.
My ride down to DC was mostly uneventful. I saw 1 pretty nasty accident. I don't even know how many cars were involved. The fun part was that while traffic going past (southbound) the accident was near stopped, I had to move into what would have been the fast lane if we had been moving. A car in the northbound lanes plowed into the rear end of a pick-up truck. It scared the shit out of me. The sound of the impact was so loud I thought I had been hit.
Like the a lot of you, John & I were sound asleep by 10.
We went into DC to the National Archives & Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. John has a cold so we came back to the room & took a nap. Now we're watching Myth Busters. Yawn.
I'm not one for resolutions but I am looking forward to getting my fat ass back into my size 8 jeans.

I hate driving outside of DC, I swear I've seen an accident every single time. I'm glad it was someone else and not you!
What did you think of the NH museum? And where are you staying? I think I'm going to take the kids down there for a long weekend in the spring, primarily for NH and the aerospace museums, but I don't know where is safe to stay in the downtown area and such.
