The Melting Pot

What can one say about a dinner that cost $335 for 4 people??? HOLY FUCKING SHIT! It wasn't that good. We knew going in that it would be expensive but this was so not anything we will EVER do again.

The entre fondue is not all that great. The meats are seasoned but essentially you boil them & that seemed to make everything (lobster, shrimp, chicken, filet mignon, port loin & salmon) all taste the same. The chocolate fondue was probably the best part...dark chocolate with crushed cherries. We dipped pound cake, strawberries, marshmallows, cheesecake, & rice krispie treats.

We bought Erin a 22" LCD TV to hook her computer up to. It doesn't work the way it's supposed to. We have to go to Best Buy to get different cables. I've spent well over an hour on the phone with both LG & Apple to get no signal. I've spent time on Apple.com's support pages. It may just not work. We talked about taking the TV back but Best Buy has a 30 day return policy. We're at day 36.

John & I spent an hour & a half raking the yard this morning. I did the front (which is relatively small) & then helped him in the back. We'll have to do it again next week. When we were finished I looked at the front yard to find it doesn't look like it was done at all. Oh well.

After I take a nap (we took today off since tomorrow is a holiday & John leaves tomorrow night) I'll go to the store & then do my weight workout & a tabata session. I'm calling my leaf raking a cardio workout again cuz my HR was up there & I worked up such a sweat that I had to take my coat off.

That sucks about the dinner. I took the kids there when we went to Philly and we enjoyed the novelty of the experience but I agree the food wasn't fantastically great or anything. But... happy birthday, Erin!!!
