John & I frequent the Valenzano Winery in Shamong, NJ. Yesterday the Wharton Forest, which surrounds the vineyard, began burning out of control.
Our friends, Ron & Grace, have suggested that we take the day off & go volunteer to drink the wine so it doesn't go to waste. LOL

I remember the name, Wharton State Forest, but that's about it. From 1990-1996 I worked in Voorhees, and lived in Lindenwold, then Florence. Seems like a lifetime ago.
The best part was a subscription to the Walnut Street Theatre in Philly. Miss that.
Hope the fire spared the grapes! :-)
