Does it take 1 day to ruin a week's worth of work??? Seriously. I had a spinach & artichoke souffle from Panera & a slice of pizza & muscles for dinner. In between I had a salad & some humus. WTF???
I'm really trying to pay attention to what I eat & where my macros are. Today I stayed at 1450 calories but had too many carbs--blew it with a piece of whole heat baguette & some fat-free crackers with humus just before dinner. I should have skipped the brown rice with my home-made shrimp creole (next to no oil in cooking). I needed more fat today, too. Eh, could be worse. Could be the other way around, right?
The thing I'm trying to remember is that I'm maintaining my weight but lifting very heavy so I have to be putting on some amount of muscle. Eventually my clothes will be looser, yes?
Tonight I did NROL4W 1B workout 5.
55 lb deadlifts
8 & 10 lb dumbbell shoulder press--ZERO pain in my shoulder which is something I haven't been able to say in a very long time. And I'm lifting heavier than ever!!!!
35/40 lb wide grip pull-downs
12 lb lunges (I'm going to have to start using the barbell)
Crunches--I'm not using the ball because it seems to hurt me back (poor form? maybe)
Erin has been out with the jerk every night since the blow-up. I reminded her on Saturday that while we don't like him, the majority of what we know about him is from what she has told us. It's not simple observation. She tells us that he has cheated on her & that he thinks that she should have no problem with him taking other girls to the movies. It's her that has told us that he won't enroll in even a single class. It's her that has told us that he got fired from his last job. So, if we don't like him, it's because of the way she has represented him. And if she has misrepresented him then maybe she better start thinking about some positive qualities to discuss with us.
I'm so afraid they will still be together when she graduates & they'll run off & get married.

Are you drinking enough water? I find that sometimes I am more prone to blowing my eating program if I haven't taken in enough water earlier in the day.
Also, did you go into the high-temptation situations with a plan? :D
Are you doing any interval cardio in addition to your NROL4W workouts?
With Erin and the DB (that's douchebag, not dear boyfriend), I don't think there's any winning. At all. JMHO. You've said your piece and that's all you can do, and now you need to step back. You don't want Erin to become estranged. (((Deb)))

Hi... I think we have all done what Erin is doing with DB (douche bag) as she is doing with you. Can you ignore it and let it run its course? It almost always runs its course.
As for food for lunches -- can you do some fajitas? Cook up onions, tons of colored bell peppers and then throw in some protein? Shrimp, beef, chix or whatever? Heats up great and dab it with some fancy cotija cheese -- just enough for the salty favor to immerse -- and it's a wonderful meal even with no dressings like guacamole or tortillas. Cook with only a tad bit of butter and if you use a nice pan, it will brown very nicely. Season as you desire with spices.
