Power Eating

What an education. There's a lot of information in this book that makes my brain hurt but there's a lot of information that I'm absorbing. I'm actually starting to see how to create meal plans so that I an eat reasonably & still have a sandwich. I'm so tired of eating salad for lunch.

When you eat the same thing day in & day out you get bored. I get bored; I binge. I get bored; I eat things that I know are not going to help me lose weight. I get bored; I give up.

This book is putting things into perspective for me. The best thing I'm getting out of it is that I know how much to eat just not what to eat & this is helping me to figure that out.

Thanks Wendy! What would I do without you? I'd look like that cow picture you posted a few days ago.

Kettlebells--I've been cleared to do anything I want to do within reason. I am able to swing my arm. It's just not strong--but that's why I would use lighter weights to start. I did pick up (as in lift) a 10 lb kettlebell at Dick's today. I did one of the swinging snatch type moves. It didn't hurt at all. No resistance in the shoulder at all.

I'm doing regular push-ups now. I'm able to pump out 8 before going to my knees to complete a set of 10 (for 3 sets). It's awesome to be recovered.

I bought a jump rope today!!! I'm going to do some jump rope intervals for cardio later. I used to love to jump rope--I'll do it in the grass because I am afraid to jump on cement (I'm afraid it will make my ankles hurt).

Has anyone read Rachel Cosgrove's Get off the Treadmill and get Metabolic? It looks like a killer workout that I might try some day.

Yesss!!! I can comment!!!

Power Eating rocks! Even though I've only been semi-compliant, especially lately, I've dropped close to five pounds.

I'm excited you're going to be incorporating kettlebells into your program. They're such great tools, very versatile.

Yay!

I just looked at Rachel's workout and it's a heck of a lot like some of my boot camp classes. heeheehee. Try it! :)

I might do it this week too, just for fun.

I just checked out Rachel's workout, and it looks great. By which I mean, I'm not sure I can do half that crazy shit, let alone do it for a minute. But I can try!
