The sling came off on Thursday & I was told to start doing pendulums. I've been icing on & off & wearing the cryo/cuff at night. I feel AWESOME (for the most part). I don't have significant pain & am off the Percocet.
In fact, I'm typing with both hands today. Woohoo.
We bought some 100% impermeable band-aides so that I can take a bath today. I STINK. LOL I don't think I'll be able to raise my arm high enough to wash my armpit but I'm going to try to slip a wash cloth under to at least rinse. John is going to attempt to shave my legs.
My mom has been a huge help. She & Dad went to the mall this morning--we have Crate & Barrel; they do not. LOL
The one thing that stands out is how tired this is making me. I took 2-1 hour naps yesterday. This morning I'm ready to go back to bed already & I've only been up since 7 AM. That sucks.
I'm not attempting to get on my bike yet. I'm afraid of falling off. Or having it fall off the stand & having to catch myself. That would totally suck. Eh.
I go back to the surgeon on Thursday. I presume I'll start formal physical therapy after that. I don't know when I am supposed to go back to work. I probably could go back on Monday I feel so well. BUT I'm in no hurry. Ha

It sounds like all your energy is diverting to healing quickly, so you are tired, and that is great!
Enjoy your cleanliness, LOL!
I'm so glad you're feeling good, Deb! And I definitely think you should NOT go back to work for weeks and weeks yet. :-)
Besides, won't it be a few weeks before you're allowed to drive?
I am so happy to hear all this, Deb! Don't go back to work until you have to. Enjoy this time. :D
