Dropping in to say hi

I haven't done well by way of cleaning up my eating last week.  I have had several people tell me that I need to stop losing weight.  Um, are they fucking blind???  I had to buy 3 pairs of pants this week because my jeans are so tight they are popping blood vessels in my pelvic region (where they crease when I sit).

I bought scrubs.  Cheap but pretty colors & I can wear them with ANYTHING.  The only thing I don't like about them is that they tie & the crotch would be down to my knees if I didn't tie them up around my boobs (so I do).  They are super comfortable.

One of the things I'm not digging about my new Mac is the inability to right click.  I have got a blue tooth mouse that I can hook up which might resolve the problem but I'm lazy.

I'm back to running.  I started with a shorter distance & slower pace again but it won't take long to get back up to 3 miles.  I don't remember if I mentioned it here but since I am not having my surgery until May 28, I did sign up for the Race for the Cure & the Broad Street Run.  The Broad Street is 10 miles & takes place on May 3.  The Race is a 5k the following weekend.  Anyone think I should just walk the Race or play it by ear to see how my recovery is?

I'm going to try to squeeze in a leg workout this weekend.  Some extensions, curls, & step ups.  Then later in the week I'll do some squats, lunges, & side lunges (as suggested by Wendy).

I really need to get moving.

One of the girls at work wants to start doing abs in the office a couple of times a week.  I'm going to give it a shot.  I'm trying to teach her a few things about form & the fact that doing hundreds of sit ups, multiple times a day, multiple days a week is NOT going to give her a six pack.  But some people...The other thing I've been trying to instill in her is that the reason she has so many sports injuries is a result of just that kind of thinking.  Sometimes I just have to tell myself that there are just some things you aren't going to be able to teach someone...Sigh.

Yesterday on the way to work I stopped to put paper in the recycling bin & found that I was locked into my car.  My automatic lock won't unlock the door.  I'm having to climb over the console in the middle to get in & out of the car.  What a pain in the ass.  I called a couple of auto repair places today.  The only place that will take it is the Saturn dealer & they can't do it until Monday.  I hate going to the dealer.

You are locked IN the car??? That is so bizarre. Do you have childproof locks? There's usually a lever along the door (check your manual) which maybe you accidentally activated??

I'll bet you haven't gained any weight at all, and I think it's great that you are doing the marathons before the surgery, as maybe the recovery won't feel so long if you achieve some physical accomplishments beforehand.

Yep, locked in. No child locks. It's a disconcerting to be locked in. I keep thinking, "what if I get into an accident? I won't be able to get out."

The dealer is going to have to use a slim jim to unlock the door & then take the panels off. It sounds like it's gonna be expensive.
