LOL!!! I think there is a cooling gel you can buy to use after the fact. I know I personally always had to use cortisone cream to prevent in-grown hairs/irritation.
But, I'm sure it's worth it, as John will most surely let you know. LOL!
Yep, there's this stuff called Tendskin that is supposed to soothe the area in question and help prevent ingrown hairs. It's got acetylsalic acid in it, I think, so basically it's just topical aspirin.
I love Aveda products! Whenever I'm feeling indulgent I buy the rosemary mint body stuff--yummy!
Tend Skin ROCKS!! It will burn at first, but it takes out all of the heat and prevents any bumps and irritation. Then when the hair starts to grow back, you use it again, to make sure they don't become ingrown.
I had planned to go again the day after Aunt Flo leaves, but it doesn't look like I'll be ready by then. I'm thinking it's going to last 6 weeks, at least, instead of 4. Financially, 8 would be fantastic, LOL.
