Internship

I posted on facebook--for those of you that don't go over there--Erin got the internship she wanted. It's with Iper Design in Haddon Heights. It's 15 minutes from the house & doing the kind of work she wants to do. I'm very proud & very excited (& maybe even a little jealous) for her. She's one of the lucky ones--knows what she wants to do with her life & is getting an opportunity to do it.

All right. I'm starting to feel better--almost 100%. I wanted to get back to working out tonight but didn't get home until late & probably could use one more day of rest anyway. I'm taking it; I really don't want to relapse.

Tomorrow I will get back to eating right; though I've been maintaining, & will take my hour for fitness. Then tomorrow night I'll do weights. I've got 5 weeks to do some real damage & I'm going to do it. Watch me shrink!

Can I tell you that I am very excited about this trip?! I'm excited about meeting Wendy & Sandi face-to-face! I'm excited about seeing a little bit of Maine--hell, even if we don't get out of the gym; I'll be with some of my favorite people!

Oh! Let me tell you about the clinic...When I got to work today I had several emails (sent out clinic wide) telling us about the infection control strategies that had been put into place. The sick staff members were told to wear special surgical masks & they had people at each entrance of the building to screen patients, "Do you have cold or flu like symptoms?" If the patient answered yes they were escorted to a different entrance of the building where they could be fully screened & tested. Very Outbreak-ish.

Today we are in the midst of a major "war game" so I'm not sure if the "guards" at the doors are for the outbreak or for the game. The rear entrance of the facility was locked down & we had to swipe to gain entrance. That is not a regular occurance.

Very strange indeed!
