I bought an e-book from Avidityfitness.net on fat loss. It's got some interesting stuff about diet & working out. Mostly I'm reading because I have so much to learn about fitness nutrition.
I was wondering what forums, books, websites you all read to keep yourself educated.

Great question, Deb!
Just this weekend I picked up a copy of Tosca Reno's Eat Clean Diet, or whatever it's called. I reallyreally like her approach to nutrition. It's more health-oriented than the Body for Life diet, which IMO relies a little too heavily on processed convenience foods. I love the magazine as well, as I've mentioned ad nauseam.
For exercise information I like the video tutorials on the Perform Better website, and I've also found some good information on the Men's Health Belly-Off page. Figure Athlete and T-Nation are also great, of course. The CrossFit website is a good place to get workout ideas and to some extent exercise instruction, although I think there are other sites that do a better job with the latter. ExRx, for one.
I also like PT on the Net and FitnessCoach (NASM-operated website for trainers), but I'm not sure how useful either site would be to anyone who doesn't work in the fitness industry. When I go there it's seldom for my own benefit--usually it's because I've got a client who has an issue I haven't previously dealt with. For instance, this Wednesday I'm going to be working with a client who's blind, and since that's a new thing for me I went to PT on the Net for some tips. If membership were free I'd recommend it wholeheartedly, but it's not, and unless you're a trainer I'm not sure it's worth paying for, not when there's so much excellent free information available online.
I don't subscribe to any fitness magazines myself, although I do generally have a look at the fitness articles in DH's Men's Health. Every so often I'll pick up an issue of Oxygen at the newsstand but I've never subscribed. How many times do I need to read the same article on "Three Moves For Perfect Arms"? The way our bodies work doesn't change from year to year, so the three exercises aren't going to change either, assuming the authors got it right in the first place.
I no longer subscribe to fitness magazines, either. Too much fluff and supplement ads.
T-Nation is good, if you can wade through all the T. LOL!
Since I'm doing the Precision Nutrition program, I'm spending the bulk of my time there. Berardi's nutrition info is solid (and there is SO MUCH info on his site, the downside being you have to buy PN for $99 to have access to the website. However, it's unlimited access and no renewal. Once you buy it, you own it.)
I used to go to jpfitness a lot, but haven't been there lately. And t-nation has great info BUT all of the pictures of the perfect 20 year olds with huge boobs plastered everywhere really turns me off. I also don't read magazines in general (other than news weeklies and Star Magazine, which is a terrible addiction) for the same reason. I don't like how I feel with "perfection" constantly shoved under my nose, and I think most mags geared toward women focus way too much on changing yourself to be happy, to get a guy, to have better org&sms, etc. It's just annoying.
Well, that was helpful!
On the book front, I like PN and Power Eating. I've also seen some interesting books in Borders that illustrate the female anatomy and how it's worked during particular fitness moves.
ITA about the photos of the moussed-up, oiled-up, augmented, performance-enhanced "fitness babes" on sites like T-Nation and Figure Athlete. Even though I "know" intellectually that it makes no sense for me to compare myself to women half my age who've ingested substances that I prefer not to take, I can't help doing it just a bit, and it makes me feel bad about myself. So I try not to spend too much time at those sites. I'll drop by 1-2x per week to see whether there are any interesting new articles, but I really try to limit my exposure.
I sometimes check out figureathlete.com and I listen to podcasts like Bodysport's. I also have a PTontheNet subscription. I am reading books on periodization, boring stuff written by PhDs.
Right now I am a little tired of it all because the info can be so conflicting ... So I am taking a little break from all the know-it-alls! LOL
