checking in

Today did NOT go as I had hoped. We went to the Chatsworth Cranberry Festival & I couldn't find anything worthy of calling clean. I settled for a crabcake that appeared to contain a lot of crab on the grill but when I started eating it found that it was more cake. I was bummed.

I haven't been drinking enough water. And I have a "withdrawal headache." I say that because I have found that my head feels clearer when I drink more than 4 glasses a day; which is about all I've had today.

Dinner was better--

3 oz filet mignon (yes, I did weigh it)
1/2 c brown rice
1 c broccoli/cauliflower steamed
1 c homemade onion soup--bullion & onions Yum

I'm going to hit the "gym" in a few minutes. I'm starting NROL-O Fat Loss I tonight. After I'm going to use the freebie download from Workout Muse & ride my bike. I'm looking forward to it.

Erin had to do a digital self-portrait for one of her classes. This is the result.

ETA: Just completed WO A & can honestly say it kicked my ass. Instead of doing Alwyn's recommended 1-2 ratio HIIT, I did 10 1-1 intervals. We haven't put the heat on yet--it is currently 66 degrees in the room I'm in. I believe it is a good 3 to 5 degrees cooler downstairs. I had sweat dripping off my chin!!! It was beautiful in a sick, twisted kind of way.

Here are the weights:

Squats
: 3x15 @ 95 lbs (I attempted 115 but chickened out)
Seated rows 3x15 @ 46/55/55 lbs
Hip extensions...3x15 done
DB Push-press 3x15 12/10/8 -- I have a pretty cap forming on my shoulders that becomes VERY prominent doing these. Can't wait for the fat to go. Next time I do these John is taking pictures. I had to reduce my weights because I didn't feel my form was good.
Rotational Lunges 3x15 10/12/12 single dumbbells. Again going light because I want to be very careful of my form. I will be increasing my weights as I continue.
Swiss ball crunches 3x15 done

After this I did my HIIT as described above. Phew!

Oh & now I am feeling like I need to create a "private" blog because all of you have 2 blogs. LOL

Wow, great job!!! I will be doing this workout tonight. I have to go easy on the poundage, though, last time I couldn't walk for two days afterwards, heh.

And Erin is gorgeous, just gorgeous!
