Erin finally got smart. It's tough watching her be brokenhearted but she broke up with Eric & I'm almost happy. He was coming around a little more & what I was getting to know of him I didn't hate. He just is such a loser--no real job to speak of. He does work at the hotel but he's not making any money. He's had opportunity for advancement but didn't pursue it. He won't go to college & has every excuse under the sun for not. So part of me says good riddance but part of me is so terribly sad for Erin's heartbreak.
The final straw was that the girlfriend, Lauren, of his friend, Matt, caught Matt cheating. This lead to a discussion of what was considered cheating. Eric says that he should be allowed to take girls out for drinks & to movies & dinner & what not. Erin says no way. He says that not doing that stuff is reserved for marriage. She sees their relationship as training wheels for marriage & she does want to get married some day--after she is established after graduation.
She told me that she is really seeing him for what he is & she knows that she can do better. I'm glad she finally sees that. Its hard not to tell her that I'm glad they broke up. I mean, I'm sure she knows it but she doesn't need it shoved in her face.
On to better news...
I'm eating on target & doing well. I did workout 4 of NROL4W Stage 1A. I move on to 3 sets of 10 next workout. Yippee!
I had that freakin' traveling weight gain phenomenon with this weekend away. On Tuesday I was up 8 lbs. Today I'm back where I was before travel. Very strange.

Well, I'm glad to hear this, and hopefully it's for the last time. Young people tend to do that yo-yo thing that drives their parents crazy. My nephew is back with his psycho ex-gf and my sister is going nuts. I'm sorry for Erin's pain, though. ((hugs))
