Wendy, I've never heard that I might crave because my stomach is upset...Actually other than being a fat ass I feel good.
Generally speaking here's what I've been eating...
Breakfast
Either 1 c oatmeal sweetened with 1 tsp honey or 1 cup cheerios with 1/4 c 1% milk or 1 c Kashi GoLean Crunch w/1/4 c 1% milk (coffee with 1% milk no sugar or sweetener)
snack
apple/peach/pear
lunch
6 oz tuna/4-5 oz chicken/pork loin (depending on what I've made for dinner)
HUGE bowl of lettuce w/tomato/cucumber
low fat salad dressing or olive oil vinegarette
snack
same as breakfast & a Kashi TLC bar
Dinner
protein (shrimp/chicken/porkloin/sometimes -- rarely lean steak or something made with ground beef)
vegi
starch--white rice because brown takes too long, or potatoes mashed with 2-3 butter & 1% milk (serves all of us), or even some sort of Rice A Roni thing
or a pasta dish--1/2 cup whole grain pasta with sauce, protein & vegi
snack
Kashi bar/smoothie made with protein powder & milk (but mostly bars)
Generally speaking it comes to approximately 1300-1400 calories. According to the calculations in NROL4W I should eat about 1600 for maintaining & since that absolutely is not my goal, I've reduced by a couple hundred kcals.
One of the problems that I have is that if I eat bread--even whole grains--I retain water & feel bloated--a wheat issue??? I guess I don't know cuz it doesn't happen with cereals. I don't like raw vegis but have been steaming more. I like them with garlic salt--but don't do that too often cuz I don't want to stink like a garlic clove. LOL
I said in yesterday's post that I've been doing LAW so long I don't know how to eat anymore. When I think about that I know I'm wrong. I've never known how to plan meals & eat right. My parents are both borderline obese--they weren't when they were young but they continue to eat like they did when they were & the portions....make me want to puke. So I didn't learn good habits growing up.
So that said, where am I going wrong? Any suggestions will be considered & taken to heart!!! Oh & could it have been the HIIT that I did the other night that made me so famished yesterday?
I'll pick up some pellagrino for the office when I go to Costco tomorrow.
This really sucks for me because I've been heavy before but only this heavy right after Erin was born. This is VERY VERY hard for me to be this fat--with a BMI of 29, I am fat.
Tonight is NROL4W, 1A week 2. Yippee! I'm increasing my weights BIG TIME tonight.
ETA: Rocked NROL--went up over 10 lbs on nearly everything--I am finding that my muscle memory is AMAZING. Here are some post-workout bad hair pictures...

OMG I wish I had more time to comment on your diet, but I will be back. I can't help myself right this second.
1. Eat some protein with your breakfast young lady! At least three egg whites. Is that 1 cup dry or 1/2 cup dry oatmeal? Should only be 1/2 cup dry. Add 1/2 cup berries.
2. Eat some protein -- how about 3/4 cup lowfat (not nonfat) cottage cheese --- with your morning fruit snack. No wonder you are getting hungry! Sprinkle in about 8 almonds.
3. 3 oz tuna or 4 oz chicken with lunch. Add some veggies?
4. Afternoon snack. See my breakfast comment. Ditch the TLC bar. Bars = bad.
5. No. White. Rice. :D Or rice a roni either. :D Sweet taters, the whole grain pasta, success brown rice (only 10 mins!!!)? Does that work?
6. NO BARS. Get rid of them. They are bad. HOw about instead, have a protein shake, two rice cakes, with a thin layer of PB. Will; that work?
(p.s. just cuz something says kashi on it doesn't make it good, LOL!)
LOL I used the bars because they have almost the same nutritional value as the LA Lite bars!
Thank you for the suggestions--I always always always have a salad with my lunch--lettuce/spinach/tomato/cuc with dressing (light or olive oil vinegarette).
Yes, the oatmeal is 1/2 c dry; I should have said that.
Okay so cottage cheese will be purchased.
And you will see on your blog I purchased the book suggestion.
I'm so afraid of eating more because I've been gaining weight like nobody's business.
But I WILL TRY IT FOR AT LEAST A MONTH.
The books will be a big help. I like Berardi but I think he overestimates women's caloric need -- but obviously that's JMHO, he's the Ph.D., LOL!!!!
